TMJ PAIN CAN BE....WELL...PAINFUL
We know that TMJ discomfort can be painful for you. It can cause issues such as Jaw pain, headaches, migraines, and even a popping or clicking sound when you open your mouth. We will coordinate our consult with your Dentist to see if our treatment plan is for you. Because your Dentist recommended us, the consult is complimentary.
Our quick and painless procedure will take a few minutes, but provides months of relief.
Within 1-2 business days of receiving your inquiry via the form below, we'll reach out to you to get some additional information and schedule our consultation.
The consultation appointment is complementary. For your comfort we're happy to meet you at your Dentists office or we can arrange a time for you to visit us at our clinic conveniently located near highway 401 in Kitchener.
Once the consultation appointment is scheduled, our lead injector Rinku will meet with you to see if our treatment plan is suitable for your situation.
The purpose of our assessment is to see if you're a candidate for Botox injections. These injections are relatively painless and take a few minutes to inject Botox into your jaw muscle(s) to help relieve your pain.
We will thoroughly discuss this process with you during our consult.
If the procedure is deemed to be suitable, we will then confirm the procedure with your Dentist to make sure they are in the loop and schedule a follow up appointment with you to complete the process.
If together we find the treatment isn't suitable, we will then inform your Dr so that they can work with your to find an alternative option for your needs.
Once you, your Dentist and our Medical Aesthetics Nurse are on the same page, we'll book a 45 minute appointment to complete the procedure.
We can complete this at your Dentists office or our Kitchener Clinic.
The procedure most commonly consists of injecting 30-40 units of Botox per side. via 3 injections. IE approximately 60-80 units in total via 6 injections for both sides of your face .
If successful, you'll notice pain relief after about 2 weeks of performing the procedure. In some cases, we've had patients no longer need a night guard.
You'll likely remain pain free for approximately 6 months.
Some private insurers will reimburse you for the cost of the Botox as it will be prescribed by your Dentist (please check in advance). However, the cost of the procedure is not covered by insurers.
We'll arrange a next day AND a two week follow up call to see how you feel after the procedure. We'll also send the details to your Dentist to keep them in the loop.
Please provide some details so that we can contact you.
