Have you ever been into a restaurant and checked out the restrooms first to gauge overall cleanliness?
Or perhaps you've ordered food at a restaurant, and then went into a restroom to wash your hands? If the bathrooms were a mess, what were your initial thoughts?
It's a HUGE indicator of how much care a restaurant takes in your food prep based on the cleanliness of the facility as a whole.
So we encourage those that are looking for a BOTOX/Dysport or PRP Injector to apply these same observations. We recommend you double and triple check that BOTOX Setup. An unsanitary workspace, restrooms, office or supply table can be early warning signs of poor sanitation procedures.
We've heard horror stories of needles being used much longer than they should to extend their life span (OUCH!). We've also read investigations about providers diluting products to make them last longer (NO!...just NO!).
Here some of the many steps we take to ensure the safest and cleanest conditions possible:
Treatment Room Setup
1. Clean and Sterile Environment:
Our treatment rooms are cleaned thoroughly before and after each patient.
Our team disinfects all surfaces, including the treatment chair, countertops, and any equipment used.
We also ensure our treatment rooms are well-lit and ventilated.
2. Furniture:
Our injectors use comfortable and adjustable treatment chairs that can be easily sanitized.
We take pride in having a clean, organized workspace with a sanitized table surface for arranging your supplies.
3. Hygiene and Safety Supplies:
Hand sanitizer, soap, and fresh disposable gloves are always used.
We also use sharps containers for safe disposal of needles.
Preparation for the Procedure
1. Hand Hygiene:
We always wash our hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after each procedure and of course we'll use our treatment gloves.
Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
2. Patient Preparation:
We thoroughly clean the injection site with an antiseptic solution, such as alcohol or wipes or cleansing solutions, before the injection.
We will ALWAYS use fresh, sterile needles and syringes for each patient. We also replace them before they dull
3. Botox Storage and Handling:
We store Botox and medical vials according to the manufacturer’s instructions, in a refrigerator. This is a temperature monitored refrigerator used only for these products.
At the start of each day, we inspect vials for damage or contamination before use.
4. Documentation and Consent:
Our team will always obtain informed consent from our patient before the procedure.
We will also document the procedure in the client file and this includes the lot number of the Botox vial used.
